Description : Ajowan Essential Oil is steam distilled form the seeds of Ajowan, a plant similar to dill, but smells light thyme. Ajowan oil is anti-infectious, antibacterial, antiviral, anti-fungal, anti-parasitic, antiseptic, anti-nausea, and a tonic. In India, Ajowan is used to treat the digestive system. It has been used medicinally for thousands of years.
Constituents : Thymol (35-60%), a-pinene, p-cymene, Limonene, y-terpinene
Uses : In 20 ml of olive oil put 8-10 drops of Ajowan oil and massage all over the body or locally. It is relaxing and refreshing. IN a cup of olive oil put 4-5 drops of Ajowan oil and massage on the joints for relief from the pains. Add 5-10 drops to a table spoon of either base oil. Put 10-15 drops of essential oil to 50ml of shampoo. It soothes your hair. Add 3-5 drops of the oil in one pint of boiling water. Breathe in the steam for a few minutes. Repeat 2-4 times per day. It’s good for the nose and the throat.
Benefit : Ajowan’s analgesic, anesthetic, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antispasmodic, antitussive and expectorant properties will help you feel better and clear up the infection. You can also add 1 drop of ajwain oil to 1 teaspoon of carrier oil and massage it into your chest, back and throat for relief. It also relieves asthma, bronchitis and other respiratory conditions, Dissolves kidney stones and treats urinary infections, Normalizes the heart functions, Supports the reproductive system.
